Description

Job Summary:
Wound Care Registered Nurse at a healthcare facility in Salem, Massachusetts. This outpatient position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating wound care for patients with chronic and difficult-to-heal wounds. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based wound management in a day-shift schedule.

Job Details:

Schedule: Days, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and at least 1 year of nursing experience. Certification in Wound Care Nursing is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Wound Care Nursing.
Additional Information: The Wound Care Nurse will assess and monitor wounds, measure, clean, and bandage wounds, educate patients and caretakers on wound care and infection prevention, and coordinate Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) services. The unit handles 20-35 patients daily with a team of 3-4 nurses and 1-2 providers. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is Epic.
