Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) in Plano, Texas. This role involves providing nursing care on a Level IV maternity unit, which includes routine and high-risk obstetric patients. The position requires flexibility to float between Mother/Baby and obstetric units, supporting both low and high-acuity maternal care, with an emphasis on teamwork, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with a start date of 08/11/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN License, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Stable, Continuous Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) Scrub training
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to Mother Baby or assist with feeder growers in neonatal intensive care units (NICU)
  • Unit Description: A Level IV maternity center caring for routine and high-risk obstetric patients; equipped with GE fetal monitors, Acumen, JADA, EMR Meditec, and CPN; staffed by approximately 80 team members, including registered nurses, OB technicians, and support staff
  • Typical Procedures: Labor, delivery, and recovery of patients, circulating in operating rooms, and providing care for high-risk antepartum patients, triaging and assessing pregnant patients at all stages of pregnancy
  • Personality Fit: Team player mentality, flexibility, and a positive attitude preferred
  • Additional Notes: Candidates should demonstrate a strong clinical skill set and adaptability to a fast-paced obstetric environment, with the ability to work scheduled weekends as required
