Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum located in Dallas, Texas. This role involves providing high-quality care to obstetric patients in a newly renovated Womens Services Unit. The position offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment, utilizing advanced equipment and technology, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
Job Details:
- Location: Dallas, TX
- Unit: Antepartum / Post Partum Floor (9 North)
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026
- Schedule: Weekend rotation every other weekend, scheduled to fill vacancies, with holiday requirements to be discussed upon interview
- Required Qualifications:
- Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
- 2+ years of hospital experience in High Risk Labor and Delivery or Antepartum
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
- Experience with magnesium sulfate management and preterm labor management
- Knowledge of documentation systems: Meditech and CPIN (primary)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ACLS, RNCMEDITECH preferred
- Additional Information:
- The unit has 19 beds with patient ratios of 1:5
- Float policy: As needed
- Dress code includes blue insignia scrubs, with specific grooming standards such as neat and clean hair and no artificial nails or excessive piercings
