Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) position at a healthcare facility located in Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves providing specialized critical care to neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients. The RN will utilize various advanced technologies to deliver high-quality patient care during night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts on an 8-week contract, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state/district, ICU experience of at least 3 years, Cerner electronic health record experience, graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program, BSN degree (highly desired)
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified
  • Additional Information: The ICU provides multidisciplinary critical care using technology such as ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, intra-aortic balloon pump, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, Bispectral Index (BIS) monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), gastric tubes, and intravenous infusion pumps. The role requires performing a variety of patient care functions to meet the needs of patients, families, and the community.
