Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced registered nurse for a Medical Surgical Oncology floor located in Arlington, Texas. This role involves providing skilled patient care on a 31-bed unit specializing in oncology and medical-surgical treatments. The position requires a dedicated RN capable of handling a diverse patient population in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license; at least 2 years of hospital experience; BLS certification required
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification; experience with chemotherapy, oncology, med surg; Meditech electronic medical record experience; oncology or med surg certification preferred, but not mandatory
  • Float: Floating may be required to other med surg units as needed
  • Additional Information: The role involves performing general med surg and oncology procedures, administering chemo treatments, neutropenia precautions, post-op care, continuous bladder irrigation, and hospice care. Candidates should adhere to facility dress code: navy blue scrubs, and maintain professional appearance standards, including clean nails and neat hair. Tattoos should be covered when possible, and visible piercings beyond earrings are prohibited. The healthcare team follows the organization's attendance policies, and weekend and on-call shifts are part of the schedule.
