Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology (MS ONC) in Arlington, TX. This position involves providing patient care on a specialized oncology medical surgical unit with a focus on post-surgical care, chemotherapy administration, and neutropenia precautions. The role requires a compassionate and team-oriented professional ready to support patients through their treatment and recovery.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license. BLS certification. Candidates must have at least 2 years of hospital experience, including post-surgical care or oncology experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification. Oncology or medical surgical certification is preferred but not mandatory. Meditech experience is a plus.
  • Unit Information: 31-bed oncology medical surgical unit, equipped with standard medical surgical equipment and traction. EMR utilized is typical for hospital settings.
  • Patient Care Responsibilities: General medical surgical procedures, chemotherapy administration, neutropenia precautions, post-op care, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), and hospice care.
  • Dress Code & Appearance: Scrubs in royal blue. Nails should be clean and healthy, no artificial or gel nails. Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer. Tattoos should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.
  • Floating Area: Float rotation may be required within the medical surgical department.
  • Attendance Policy: The organizations attendance policies will be followed, including adherence to schedule and punctuality.
