Description
Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse position in Edmonds, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients in a Level II NICU setting. The nurse will attend high-risk deliveries, manage feeding tubes, ventilator support, and neonatal procedures, supporting infants 32 weeks or greater gestation.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience, certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), valid license with active compact license if applicable, and experience with NICU patient care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience attending high-risk deliveries, feeding management, neonatal dosage calculations, and ventilator management including CPAP/BiPAP.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The role requires attending all deliveries, high-risk deliveries, and managing equipment such as syringe pumps, feeding tubes, and ventilators. The NICU travel nurses are not expected to care for mother-baby couplets unless they already have the relevant skills and competencies. Candidates must submit two references covering at least one year within the last three years, including charge nurses or lead RNs if applicable. Modules are non-billable and should be completed prior to start, with an average of 16 hours spent.
