Description
Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Santa Rosa, California. This position involves working in an acute care hospital environment, focusing on reprocessing and sterilizing medical equipment, including endoscopes, surgical instruments, and other devices. The technician will be responsible for ensuring all sterilization procedures meet regulatory and manufacturer guidelines, working independently, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evening shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 0 years of experience required; certification as a Sterile Processing Technician, valid California license in hand preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with endoscope reprocessing, sterile processing in an acute hospital setting.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within hospital or to affiliate facilities nearby.
- Additional Information: Candidate must be seasoned travelers, capable of working independently in endoscope reprocessing including bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, EGD scopes, and other specialized equipment. Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). References covering 1 year (or 6 months for CNAs) are required. Compliance with all regulatory requirements and adherence to AAMI guidelines is mandatory.
