Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Float Position is based in Johnson City, New York. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a variety of medical-surgical settings. The float nurse is responsible for adapting to different units within the organization, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality care in accordance with established standards and policies.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, 36 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications: Healthcare Professional (HCP) must hold a current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License, BLS Certification (American Heart Association, HSI, or American Red Cross), with nursing experience of 0 to 3 years, including management experience of 0 to 3 years. Five or more years of direct nursing experience is highly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting; professional certification in a related nursing specialty such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC;Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical record system; collaboration; communication (verbal and written); judgment and critical thinking; organizational understanding; planning; problem solving; quality, reliability; safety and risk management.
• Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care across various medical-surgical units. The role requires active participation in professional development, adherence to practice standards, and ongoing commitment to patient safety and organizational values.
