Description
Job Summary:
Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) position in Missoula, Montana. This role involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients on a medical surgical floor within a Level 4 trauma designated facility. The RN will be responsible for managing patient needs, coordinating care, and collaborating with the healthcare team in a busy acute care unit.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The position starts on 08/10/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of accredited nursing school. Associates degree or higher; BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; 1+ years of nursing experience; location in Montana or willingness to relocate.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic health record (EHR); NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
- Additional Information: Handling of NG tubes, Foley catheter management, chest tube maintenance, and wound care are common clinical responsibilities. The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as diabetic complications, pneumonia, sepsis, and kidney injury. The ideal candidate is outgoing, adaptable, and has excellent communication skills.
