Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse position located in Lynchburg, Virginia. This role involves working a 12-hour night shift in a cardiac step-down setting, providing specialized patient care to acuity-level cardiac patients. The assignment starts on August 10, 2026, with orientations held every other Monday, and requires active VA or Compact licensure upon start.

Job Details:

• Location: Lynchburg, Virginia
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, 2 years of experience in a similar setting, active VA or Compact license upon start, experience with cardiac patient care, Cerner EMR experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vital signs machines, glucometers, sequential compression devices (SCDs), bladder scanners, vein finders, remote tele-capable monitoring, wound vacs, IV pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, tube feeding pumps (Kangaroo), oxygen delivery devices.
• Additional Information: Orientation start dates are August 10 and August 24, with orientations held every other Monday. All credentialing must be submitted one week prior to the start date. Client has the ability to cancel up to 36 hours before the assignment due to census changes. The facility operates as a teaching environment, with frequent interactions with students and new hires. Travel experience is required for all Central positions. Local candidates are accepted at a rate of 75. Travelers will float first depending on needs.
