Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in Florence, Alabama. This position involves providing specialized care within the labor and delivery unit, with responsibilities covering fetal monitoring, postpartum care, and emergency response. The role requires a commitment to patient safety and teamwork, supporting expectant mothers throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and delivery, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or ALS-Obstetric, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), Basic Life Support (BLS), and ability to work in Florence, Alabama
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with fetal monitoring and assessment, emergency response, postpartum care, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Additional Information:
  • Unit has 9 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1
  • Equipment includes electronic fetal monitoring systems
  • EHR systems in use are Centricity and Meditech
  • Must have skills in fetal monitoring, emergency response, postpartum care, and time management
  • Dress code requires Ceil Blue scrubs with no slogans, graphics, or offensive content; inappropriate footwear is not permitted
