Job Summary:
The Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) position is based at a healthcare facility in Cleveland, Ohio. This role involves supporting various surgical procedures within a busy operating department, including general, colorectal, gynecology, urology, breast, eye, brachytherapy, plastics, uro-gynecology, and robotics. The technician will primarily assist within a seven-room unit, with opportunities to float to the main operating room as needed. The position requires flexibility to adapt to a diverse array of surgical specialties and support the surgical team effectively.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in operating room technology, Ohio state license (if applicable), 1 year of experience in a surgical environment, and ability to work in Cleveland, Ohio.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Da Vinci Xi robotic systems, familiarity with ophthalmologic procedures such as vitrectomies and cataract surgeries, and prior exposure to diverse surgical specialties.
• Obligations: Employment includes two weekend call shifts per contract; other weekend commitments are not required.
• Additional Information: The role involves supporting procedures across various specialties, including assisting with device insertions in brachytherapy, gender affirmation surgeries, and supporting robotic-assisted surgeries. Flexibility and teamwork are essential for success in this multi-specialty environment.
