Description

Job Summary:

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Float registered nurse position is located in Portland, Maine. This role involves providing critical care in various ICU departments, including SICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, and CICU, within a dynamic float pool setting. The nurse will support staffing needs across multiple ICU units, ensuring high-quality patient care and team collaboration.

Job Details:

  • Location: 22 Bramhall Street, Portland, ME 04102
  • Shift: 12-hour shifts, with options for 7:00 am to 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
  • Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 3 years of ICU experience, experience caring for sedated, intubated, and pressor patients; located within the United States; flexible to float across ICU units
  • Preferred Qualifications: Additional ICU certifications such as CCRN preferred
  • Float: Float to Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Surgical/Trauma ICU, Cardiac ICU, and Central Intensive Care Unit (CICU); floating to any Intensive Medical Center (IMC) at the organization, patient ratios 1:2 (1:3 in ICU)
  • Additional Information: Candidate must be focused on outstanding patient care, team communication, and adaptability to different ICU assignments. Unacceptable attire includes open-toed shoes, jeans, or clothing with large logos or print. The role supports staffing during a significant period of staff reduction to maintain patient safety and meet operational goals.
