Medical Surgical Nurse - Portland, ME. Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 2 years of experience managing chronic illness and disability, proficiency in physical assessments, medication administration, and care planning.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical care, strong patient advocacy skills, and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role involves managing a unit with 29 beds, maintaining patient ratios, utilizing Epic electronic medical records system, and adhering to the facility's dress code of any color scrub that is fragrance-free. The position is a contractor replacement, with the start date set for 08/03/2026. The role is scheduled for night shifts, with an operational need until the position becomes fully functional on 10/04/2026.
