Job Summary
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a healthcare facility located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves providing specialized patient care for critically ill patients, ensuring all clinical protocols are followed, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The shift operates during nighttime hours, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week, starting on 07/06/2026.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid North Carolina nursing license; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; at least 2 years of ICU experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with critical care medication management, invasive lines, ventilator management, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
  • Floats: Floating within the region and scope of practice; floating to facilities within the region as needed.
  • Additional Information:
    • Facility has 337 licensed beds, with a 30-bed ICU and an average census of 26.
    • Patient population includes a variety of common diagnoses excluding Cardiac Surgical, with patient ratios of 1:1-2 RN to patient.
    • Units equipped with EPIC electronic medical records, Alaris IV pumps, Phillips monitors, and other critical care equipment.
    • Support staff includes CNAs, med/surg clinical nurses, hospitalists, intensivists, and other specialized personnel.
    • Orientation consists of 2 days of departmental training and unit-specific onboarding.
    • Scrub color is Navy Blue; parking is free on-site.
    • The unit culture emphasizes teamwork and a family-oriented environment.
