Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position located in Auburn, Washington. This role involves providing comprehensive care to women before, during, and after childbirth, including managing antepartum and labor processes, performing cervical exams, administering epidurals, fetal monitoring, and circulating Cesarean sections. The ideal candidate will be experienced in neonatal care, postpartum care, and have strong skills in labor and delivery procedures. Experience in a multilingual and diverse patient population is a plus.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and fetal monitoring. Two or more years of clinical experience in labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal care. Must be comfortable performing cervical exams, managing labor and antepartum cases, administering epidurals, fetal monitoring, IV insertions, and circulating Cesarean sections. Experience with postpartum care from transition to discharge for mother and baby preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Multilingual abilities in Russian or Spanish are preferred. Experience with electronic medical records, particularly Epic, is strongly preferred. Scrub experience is considered a bonus.
  • Additional Information: The position requires the ability to perform Baby catching/receiving, APGAR scoring, and breastfeeding support. Scrub trained RNs are occasionally utilized for sick calls, with a Scrub Tech on site. The facility has 20 beds, including 12 labor and delivery beds, 8 postpartum/admission beds, and a 6-bed level II NICU.
