Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Pleasanton, California. This role involves providing high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency environment. The ER RN is responsible for assessing patients, implementing appropriate interventions, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver timely and effective care in accordance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (CA-RN) license, current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred, 0.0 years of experience, valid work authorization in the United States, effective communication skills in English
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior ER or emergency department experience, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Additional Information: The ER RN will create a healing environment by providing emotional support, managing patient discomforts, and guiding patients and families through care plans. The role includes patient education on self-care and illness prevention, participating in team activities, and contributing to continued quality improvement efforts. The position requires quick problem-solving skills, emergency protocol activation, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
