Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse position located in Downey, California. This role involves providing specialized care within the labor and delivery department, supporting high-risk and routine obstetric cases during night shifts. The position requires a dedicated professional committed to patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights
- Hours per Day: 12
- Minimum Hours per Week: 36.0
- Start Date: 07/20/2026
- Required Qualifications:
- 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in a labor and delivery department
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (in the state where care is provided)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (ANRP) certification
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in nursing or a related field
- Five (5) or more years of recent experience in labor and delivery (must have occurred within the last two (2) years)
- One (1) year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two (2) years
- High Risk Obstetrics (OB) experience preferred
- Additional Information:
- Position involves delivering high-quality maternal and neonatal care, including supporting high-risk pregnancies and emergency situations. Adaptability to shift work and a focus on patient safety are essential.
