Job Summary
Post Partum Nurse - Labor and Delivery (L&D PP) at an acute care facility in Anaheim, California. This position involves providing specialized care to women in labor, postpartum, and neonatal units. The role requires a highly skilled registered nurse with experience in maternal and newborn care, supporting both maternal and infant health needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shifts, 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Valid registered nurse license in the state of California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (ABN) certification
  • Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring
  • Demonstrated IV skills and ability to perform lab draws
  • Knowledge of high-risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin)
  • Ability to perform urine point of care testing
  • Knowledge of capillary blood glucose testing
  • Knowledge of IStat testing methods
  • Ability to perform adult cardiac monitoring
  • Knowledge of newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring
  • Ability to perform heel sticks and venipuncture on newborns
  • Knowledge of newborn medication administration, including IV therapy and maintenance
  • Knowledge of Bili-blankets, Bili-lights, and radiant warmers
  • Knowledge to support gynecological teaching and post-operative bladder training
  • Knowledge to support maternal-newborn teaching
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in nursing or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of labor and delivery experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of postpartum experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of medical/surgical nursing experience

  • Candidate must have valid licenses and certifications, including ACLS.
