Job Summary:
The Postpartum Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Anaheim, California. This role involves providing comprehensive care to postpartum patients with a focus on maternal, neonatal, and family health. The RN will support a variety of clinical responsibilities within the postpartum unit, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes during their shift.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • License, Certification, Registration: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring
  • Demonstrated IV Skills and ability to perform lab draws
  • Demonstrated knowledge of high risk medication administration (Magnesium/Oxytocin/Insulin)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Urine Point of Care testing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of capillary blood glucose testing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IStat devices
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Adult Cardiac monitoring
  • Demonstrated knowledge of newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring
  • Demonstrated ability to perform heel sticks/venipuncture on newborns
  • Demonstrated knowledge of newborn medication including ability to perform IV administration and maintenance
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Bili-blankets/lights and radiant warmers
  • Demonstrated knowledge to support gynecologic teaching and post-operative bladder training
  • Demonstrated knowledge to support maternal-newborn teaching
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of labor and delivery experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of postpartum nursing experience
• Additional Information:
  • No specific minimum experience required beyond the qualifications listed
  • Position involves supporting maternal and neonatal care, including medication administration, monitoring, and patient education
