Job Summary
The healthcare professional, specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) postpartum care, is based at a facility located in Anaheim, California. This position involves providing comprehensive patient care on the postpartum floor, supporting maternal-newborn education, and managing high-risk medications. The role is suitable for a qualified nurse with experience in labor, delivery, and postpartum environments seeking a day shift schedule.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • One year of recent (within the last three years) full-time equivalent experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • License, Certification, Registration: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided), Basic Life Support, Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring, IV skills including lab draws, high-risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin), Urine Point of Care testing, capillary blood glucose testing, and IStat.
  • Ability to perform adult cardiac monitoring, newborn pulse oximetry and cardiac monitors, heel sticks/venipuncture on newborns, IV administration and maintenance for newborn medication, support for GYN teaching and post-operative bladder training, maternal-newborn teaching, and knowledge of Bili-blankets/lights, radiant warmers, and neonatal monitors.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in nursing or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of labor and delivery experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of postpartum experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of medical/surgical nursing experience
• Additional Information:
