Job Summary:
Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician position available in a facility located in Silverdale, Washington. The role involves supporting orthopedic and spine surgeries within a dedicated orthopedic operating unit. The technician will assist in sterilization, equipment preparation, and surgical procedures, contributing to efficient patient care and operative success.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days, 4/10s from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM; minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification through the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD); state license required; minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Sterrad sterilization systems (e.g., Sterrad NX, Sterrad 100S, Sterrad 200, Sterrad 100NX) preferred; BLS certification mandatory; COVID vaccine required.
• Certifications: BLS Certification.
• Additional Information: The role involves working in an independent sterile processing unit within the orthopedic operating suite. Equipment duties include sterilization and disinfection of patient care equipment and supplies. The facility performs all orthopedic and spine cases, requiring scrubbing supportalthough not usual for RN staff. Call response time is 30 minutes, with occasional on-call requirements. The unit utilizes EPIC for charting.
• Schedule & Operational Notes: The job includes call responsibilities discussed during the phone interview, with holidays scheduled as per facility policy. The position does not usually involve telehealth, vents, or Vents, and there is a week of floor-specific orientation.
