Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse (CVICU RN) in Great Falls, Montana. This position involves providing specialized care to post-operative open heart patients in a 10-bed cardiac intensive care unit. The role requires trained proficiency in immediate post-operative recovery, advanced medical equipment use, and critical care procedures, supporting a dynamic and expanding cardiac services department.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited nursing program, current State of Montana Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Recent critical care experience, particularly in open heart recovery or CVICU, is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical care, CVICU, and open heart experience. Skilled in operating advanced medical equipment including A-lines, chest tubes, central lines, and ventilatory support. Strong assessment and intervention skills are required.
• Additional Information: The position involves providing comprehensive, continuous care from patient admission to discharge, including discharge planning. Clinical leadership and precepting of staff are integral parts of the role.
