Job Summary:
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician in San Diego, California. This position involves providing patient care duties and supporting activities within the operating room suite. The role requires experience in orthopedic, neuro, and robotic procedures, with an emphasis on safety, compliance, and efficient surgical support.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evenings shift starting at 10:30 PM, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of three years as a scrub person in a hospital setting, with experience in orthopedic, neuro, and robotic procedures. Certification as a Scrub Technician is preferred. BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training.
• Additional Information: Successfully completes and maintains all regulatory requirements including licensing and certification. Adheres to all safety and compliance policies, including TB testing, safety testing, HIPAA training, and other mandatory education. Demonstrates knowledge of procedures, anticipates needs during cases, manages physician preference cards, maintains instrument tray accountability, and actively participates in department improvements and teaching activities.
• On Call: 12 hours of weekend and 20 hours of weekday on-call time within a 4-week period, with a 30-minute response time. Scheduled two shifts every other weekend. One shift per pay period may be canceled without pay.
