Description

Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialist is sought at a short-term acute care facility in Spokane, Washington. The position involves performing highly specialized cardiothoracic and vascular procedures, including robotic surgeries, pediatric congenital heart cases, and heart transplants. The role requires the ability to scrub all open heart cases and work within a designated schedule, supporting a dynamic and skilled surgical team.

Job Details

Schedule: 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, start date 07/27/2026
Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse license at time of submission; current BLS certification; recent experience in operating room open heart procedures; no minimum experience specified
Special Requirements: Must be able to scrub all open heart cases. Robotic experience preferred. Cardiac experience is a hard stop requirement and must be recent.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, atrial septal defect repair, cardiothoracic robotic surgery, pediatric congenital heart procedures, TAVR, heart transplants, and familiarity with Epic charting system
Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics, Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents
Additional Unit Information: Highly specialized Cardiothoracic and Vascular Operating Room; procedures include CABG, robotic mitral valve repair, pediatric congenital heart surgery, TAVR, and heart transplants; support for complex cardiovascular cases.
Travel Requirements: May be required to float between nearby facilities; refusal to float may lead to termination of contract. Return Providence Staff must wait 3 months before submitting as a traveler.
Other Details: Must include response to prior employment at Providence facilities if applicable; references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years; all scheduling and RTO requests requested at time of submittal; modules are non-billable, with an average of 16 hours spent.
