Description

Job Summary:
The Nursing Professional is a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Cardiac care located in New York. This role involves delivering safe, patient-centered care to a designated patient population in an ambulatory care setting, adhering to evidence-based practice standards, and collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 7.5 hours per shift, minimum of 37.5 hours per week, start date 08/03/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: NYS RN/LPN license; BLS certification; 2 years of ambulatory experience; minimum 2 years RN/LPN experience; 1 year travel experience for travel positions (not required for Per Diem positions); EPIC experience highly preferred; outpatient/cardiac procedure experience specified on resume.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Cardiology non-invasive experience highly preferred.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    • Performs charge nurse duties as assigned.
    • Coordinates with management to ensure appropriate supplies and staffing.
    • Demonstrates patient-focused and cost-effective approaches to care, including documentation per compliance standards.
    • Facilitates patient throughput and contributes to a positive environment of care.
    • Advances clinical competence through ongoing professional development and participation in unit initiatives.
    • Incorporates ethical principles into patient care decisions, demonstrating empathy, respect, and active listening.
    • Applies safety hazard escalation and high reliability principles to ensure patient safety and quality improvement.
