Job Summary:
Cardiology Specialty Registered Nurse in New York. The Clinical Nurse provides safe, competent, and high-quality patient care to a designated group of patients within the step down unit. This role involves collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, patient education, and ensuring adherence to organizational standards to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York, Bachelor of Science (BSN) degree preferred, at least 2 years of experience in step down units and vent management, minimum 1 year of travel or applicable RN experience, and skills in telemetry, VAD experience, patient throughput, ethical decision making, EPIC electronic health record system familiarity, teaching, rounding, coaching, planning, communication, active listening, service recovery, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, process improvement, documentation, charge nurse duties, scholarship, lifelong learning, and innovation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiology, tele, and advanced cardiac life support.
• Additional Information: The role demands strong critical thinking, assessment skills, patient care management, intervention skills, and collaboration. The assignment begins on August 3, 2026, and involves working in a busy step down unit with a focus on cardiology patients.
