Description
Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in medical surgical rehabilitation is needed at a healthcare organization in Boston, Massachusetts. This position involves providing care on a 30-bed adult rehab unit that focuses on stroke and brain injury rehabilitation, with occasional patients diagnosed with neurological or musculoskeletal conditions. The role requires rotating day and evening shifts, including weekend coverage.
Job Details:
- Shift and Schedule: Days shift with rotating evening and night shifts 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. (12 hours) on weekdays, and 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (8 hours) every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and at least 0 years of experience in a similar rehab setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stroke or brain injury patients is highly preferred.
- Additional Information: The unit offers private rooms and specializes in adult rehabilitation patients, primarily those recovering from neurological or musculoskeletal conditions requiring post-operative rehab. Staff will be responsible for implementing patient care plans according to institutional guidelines and protocols.
