Description
Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in medical surgical oncology nursing in Raleigh, North Carolina, provides competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting. Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process, the nurse will engage in patient assessment, education, planning, and implementation of care, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: - Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing. - Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from AHA or ARC. - At least 1 year of nursing experience.

- Additional Information: - Provides outpatient infusion services requiring Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) chemotherapy and immunotherapy experience. - Involves patient care coordination, clinical nursing care, education, discharge planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and performance improvement activities. - Emphasizes safety, complex patient problem management, and culturally competent care planning for patients with oncology needs.
