Description

Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical with Telemetry registered nurse located in Omaha, Nebraska. This position involves providing patient care on a 60-bed unit specializing in adult patients with some pediatric cases, operating in a hospital setting. The shift schedule is nights, with 12-hour shifts, and a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Location: 6901 N. 72ND. ST., Omaha, NE 68122
  • Schedule: 12-hour nights; minimum 36 hours per week
  • Certifications: BLS Certification; minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; 2+ years of experience in a similar setting; ability to work night shift; good attitude, positive mindset, team player, culturally sensitive, with strong patient care skills
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with diverse patient populations; ability to speak Korean is a plus
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit notes emphasize the importance of passing an open book skills exam during orientation with a 90% passing score.
    • Candidates must possess a valid drivers license for radius verification and must not have employment that conflicts with facility policies regarding staffing.
    • The unit is part of an acute care setting with a focus on surgical recovery, cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, and cancer care.
    • Use of Epic electronic medical records and Alaris IV pumps is required.
    • Float support to additional units may be required, including acute rehab and geriatric psych units.
    • Nail policy prohibits artificial nails across patient care departments.
