Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse located in Santa Maria, California. This position involves working in a fast-paced acute care environment within the cardiovascular operating room. The role requires providing specialized perioperative care for open heart procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift with hours from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., totaling 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse, BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, and certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS.
• Additional Information: The candidate will be required to complete necessary modules prior to starting the assignment, which take approximately 6 hours to complete, with a one-time fee of $125 for module completion. The unit is a cardiac surgery environment specializing in open heart procedures. Fluency in charting system Cerner is essential. The facility allows cancellation of up to 4 shifts within a 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter durations.
