Job Summary:
The infusion nursing specialist position is located in Sitka, Alaska. This role involves providing comprehensive infusion care to patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring safe and effective delivery of infusion therapies. The qualified candidate will possess current licensure and be prepared to perform specialized nursing procedures in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or another U.S. state; must have applied for an Alaska nursing license before start date; BLS and ACLS certifications; high school diploma or equivalent; clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years.
• Preferred Qualifications: One year of clinical nursing experience; prior experience in infusion specialties preferred.
• Additional Information: The role involves facilitating and overseeing infusion patient referrals, coordinating appointment scheduling, administering specialty IV fluids, maintaining IV access devices, assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and providing patient education. The position emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaborative patient care, with ongoing opportunities for professional development.
