Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department nurse in Oxnard, California. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients experiencing high-risk deliveries, including those with substance abuse, gestational challenges, and those who are Spanish speaking. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting both the labor and postpartum units.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The shift hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, rotating every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications including ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS Certification, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program). Candidates must have at least 3 years of clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in float roles between Labor and Delivery and postpartum units. Ability to assist with high-risk deliveries and support in NICU or L&D tasks as needed.
• Additional Information: Must have 2-3 years of experience, with at least one prior travel contract preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working with a diverse patient population, including Spanish speakers and patients with no prenatal care. Facilities follow American Women's Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWOHNN) guidelines and use the FetalLink fetal monitoring system linked with Cerner EMR. Floating between units may be required to ensure coverage.
