Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse Austin, Texas. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a Level IV Maternal Designation facility with a focus on labor and delivery as well as neonatal services. The role is suited for a registered nurse with experience in high-volume obstetric and neonatal environments, supporting a fast-paced, high-risk delivery service with comprehensive maternal and neonatal care.
Job Details:
- Position: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in Labor and Delivery Department
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Registered Nurse license for the state of Texas
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics
- Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery or Perinatal experience in high-volume delivery service
- Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in high-volume delivery service
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification
- Additional Information:
- This position is specifically for a Women's Obstetric Emergency Department in a Level IV Maternal Designation facility.
- The unit features 26 LDR suites, 6 C-section suites, 14 Triage rooms, 60 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 15 monitored Ante-partum rooms.
- Serves over 500 deliveries per month with 24-hour in-house OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage.
- Includes involvement in the Perinatal Transport Program and extended scope of service for low acuity women from 16 weeks pregnant to 6 weeks postpartum.
