Job Summary:
Longmont, Colorado This Nursing Manager position oversees intensive care units (ICU) and telemetry departments within a healthcare organization. The role involves general managerial responsibilities, staff oversight, budgeting, and maintaining high standards of patient care. The position requires a qualified leader with prior ICU and telemetry experience to ensure quality and operational excellence within the units.
Job Details:
- Shift Time: Days
- Schedule: Manager shifts are generally Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to approximately 4:00 or 5:00 pm, with possible availability on off shifts and weekends as needed
- Required Qualifications: BLS Certification, ACLS (AHA), NIHSS; 3 or more years of ICU and/or telemetry experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of ICU and/or telemetry experience as an RN
- Patient Population: General medical surgical patients, cardiac disease, CHF, COPD, TIA, arrhythmias, cancer, respiratory issues, acute kidney injury, sepsis, MI, respiratory failure, among others
- Responsibilities include general managerial oversight of departments, staff, budgeting, supplies, patient satisfaction, and ensuring high quality standards
- Nursing staff may include nurse aides and monitor technologists, with RNs required to read and interpret monitor stripsincluding those monitored remotely in telemetry and ICU settings
- Equipment: Vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and other respiratory devices are used in ICU
- Floating: Not applicable
- Dress Code: Business casual
- Orientation: Unit-specific orientation is provided
- Cancellation Policy: Up to four shifts may be canceled per 13-week assignment, or three shifts for durations shorter than 13 weeks
- Licenses: Valid license to practice nursing required for submission
- Start Date: 07/27/2026
