Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) Specialist in Saint Louis, Missouri. This position involves performing a wide range of adult image-guided procedures including neurointerventional, body, and vascular interventions. The role requires autonomous clinical skills in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, providing pre- and post-procedure care, sedation management, and patient monitoring.

Job Details:

• Location: Saint Louis, MO
• Shift: Days, 10 hours per shift
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week, with potential required work past scheduled hours for procedures and backup shifts, including some weekend coverage on Saturdays.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
• Required Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience in critical care or procedural settings; ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias with Relias EKG exam; proficiency in procedural sedation, ventilator management; experience with ultrasound, fluoroscopic, and CT-guided procedures.
• Additional Requirements: No visible tattoos; facial piercings must be removed or covered; must pass Relias EKG exam.
• Facility & Patient Care Details: Short Term Acute Care designation with a total of 1259 staffed beds, treating adult patients with complex interventional procedures such as neuro-, vascular, oncology, and central line placements. The nurses are expected to administer sedation, monitor patients closely, and assist with pre- and post-procedure care.
• Special Equipment: Phillips monitors
• Additional Information: Agency RNs will assist with pre-procedure phone calls, sedation, and monitoring using ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and CT guidance. The environment includes Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center capabilities.
• Licensing: Missouri license required; no local candidates within a 75-mile radius accepted; confirmed compliance deadlines for certifications and modules.
