Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in San Marcos, Texas. This full-time position involves providing advanced patient care in a high-acuity setting, managing complex medical conditions such as DKA, STEMIs, strokes, respiratory failure, and cardiac issues. The role requires independence, clinical judgment, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred); current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA); current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA); RN license in Texas or for the states nurse compact.
• Preferred Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in a critical care setting; experience with Epic electronic medical record system, Pyxis medication system, and Excel for scheduling.
• Additional Information: Must have several years of ICU experience, well-versed in clinical judgment, caring practices, collaboration, diversity responsiveness, systems thinking, clinical inquiry, and advocacy. New hires are required to attend orientation within the first 30 days, with precepted onboarding and competency validation.
