Description
Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in San Antonio, Texas. This full-time position involves providing specialized care to infants in a Level 3 or 4 NICU setting. The role requires demonstrating independence in clinical practice, managing complex patient needs, and collaborating effectively with care teams to promote positive health outcomes for neonatal patients.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, current Basic Life Support (BLScertification), current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, current STABLE certification from one of the approved courses. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas or a compact license.
- Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in a related nursing specialty or recent practice in a Perinatal setting.
- Additional Information: This position requires attending New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of employment. Newly hired RNs are precepted by trained staff and must complete onboarding and annual competency validation requirements, including Perinatal Services-specific training. Experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU setting is highly preferred. The start date is ASAP to backfill a vacant position.
- Position Requirements: All new experienced RNs must attend organizational orientation and complete competency validations.
