Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) located in Central City, Nebraska. This position primarily involves working in the Med Surg unit with floating responsibilities to the ER. The role requires delivering quality patient care while adhering to facility protocols, with a focus on maintaining high clinical standards in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program; active and in good standing Nebraska State or compact RN license; BLS (AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network); ACLS (AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network); TNCC certification; 1 year of Med Surg and ER experience including ER skills checklist; EPIC experience within the past 12 months; charge nurse experience required; ability to float to ER; no prior employment with the organization or last employment must be end date 12 months before submission if applicable; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clinical quality; knowledge of nursing process, quality initiatives, and organizational policies; strong communication and critical thinking skills.

• Float: Float rotation may be required to ER.
• Additional Information: Position involves working with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems. Orientation includes 12 hours of non-billable training, with training tailored to individual comfort levels. The unit has 6 inpatient beds and 6 universal beds, with an average daily census of 5 patients and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1. The dress code is solid-colored scrubs.
• Shift Notes: 1900-0700, every 3rd weekend, no call required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC.
