Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) specialized healthcare professional position is located in Glenview, Illinois. This role involves providing critical care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The position offers 12-hour day shifts starting on July 19, 2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The role requires the ability to float to related units as needed and involves managing complex cardiac and critical care patients.
Job Details
- Location: Glenview, Illinois
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license, CPR certification, ACLS certification, NIHSS certification, Epic experience.
- Experience Requirements: At least 3 years of CV ICU experience; charge experience preferred.
- Holidays: Coverage on Memorial Day; every other weekend scheduled.
- Orientation: 8 hours of non-billable orientation.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to Glenbrook MICU, Evanston ICU, or Highland Park ICU.
- Skills: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, thermoregulation, post-cardiac surgery, intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella devices, cardiac catheterization, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, IV therapy, medication administration, stroke management, ventilator management, infection control, PPE use, phlebotomy, wound care with drains and vacuum therapy, and use of EKG and ABGs.
- Certifications: Must hold active Illinois licensure, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Additional Requirements: Submit an updated resume, CV ICU skills checklist within the last year, supervisory reference within the last year, EKG test with a passing score of 80% or above, verification of Illinois licensure.
