Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is based in the Illinois region, specifically serving a cardiovascular-focused care unit. This role involves managing complex patient cases, including dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, post-cardiac surgery, and ventilator management. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of providing high-level critical care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Location: 2100 PFINGSTEN RD, GLENVIEW, Illinois, 60026
• Schedule: 12-hour days, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois registered nurse license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale); 3 years of CV ICU experience; Epic electronic medical record experience; experience on a cardio-focused campus
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience is preferred
• Float: Float rotation possible to Glenbrook MICU, Evanston ICU, or Highland Park ICU if needed
• Holidays: Memorial Day
• Orientation: 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• Additional Information: This role involves interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella, post-cardiac surgery care, pulmonary artery line monitoring, LVAD/RVAD management, CVVHD/CRRT, IV therapy, medication management including continuous infusions, stroke management, ventilator care, infection control, and use of PPE. Candidates must submit an updated resume, recent CV ICU skills checklist, supervisor reference, an EKG test passing score of 80% or above, and verification of Illinois licensure.
