Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Nurse in GOLDSBORO, North Carolina. This position involves providing competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, focusing on patients with a variety of medical conditions. The role emphasizes patient assessment, care planning, education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Job Details:

Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); minimum of 2 years current Intermediate (Step Down) nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
Additional Information: This is a FLOAT POOL position. Candidates must be comfortable working with intermediate care patients. The position requires proficiency in patient care, nursing process, patient education, patient assessment, care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, communication systems, point of care testing, healthcare standards compliance, care prioritization, discharge planning, professional growth, performance improvement, cost-effective care, safety promotion, cultural competence, task prioritization, and research application. The start date is 08/17/2026, at the address 2700 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
