Description
Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specialty position is located in Springfield, Missouri. This role involves providing specialized neonatal care to infants requiring advanced medical attention. The position requires skilled nursing professionals to deliver comprehensive care, perform complex procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure positive outcomes for neonatal patients.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36.0 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, at least 2 years of NICU experience in a level 3 or higher neonatal intensive care setting, current BLS certification, and PALS certification preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience and experience floating to Women & Newborn units and Pediatrics as needed.
- Additional Information: RN will float to Women & Newborn unit (post-partum) as well as Pediatrics as needed. The NICU nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of treatments and the plan of care for neonatal patients. Responsibilities include administering medications, performing complex procedures, working with advanced technology, and providing education and comfort to families. Candidates must reside at least 100 miles away from the facility.
