Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Postpartum care is sought for a position in an organization located in Austin, Texas. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on a Postpartum Floor, supporting new mothers during the immediate postpartum period. The assignment is set for a 13-week duration, with shifts primarily scheduled during daytime hours.
Job Details:
- Position Type: Registered Nurse (RN) Postpartum Floor

- Shift: 12-hour shifts (daytime)
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Start Date: 09/07/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure, BLS certification, at least 2 years of relevant experience, willingness to work in the specified location and shift.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous L/D or Antepartum experience, experience with non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin, magnesium, and heparin drips.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/07/2026.
- Additional Information: The unit typically staff 24 beds with 26 staff members, including a charge nurse, RNs, and a clerk during the day shift. Patient ratios are 3:1 to 4:1, occasionally 2:1 based on acuity. Staff utilize Meditech and CPN electronic health record systems. Candidates with teamwork orientation and good communication skills are ideal. Dress code includes navy blue scrubs.
