Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Nurse in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a specialized unit that manages patients requiring close monitoring and ongoing treatment. The role requires flexibility, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team during night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association). At least 1 year of nursing experience, including experience in a step down or telemetry unit.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with Cerner charting system and experience managing titratable IV drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, or pressors is desirable.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other departments such as Emergency Department or to cover vacant shifts.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit staffing includes 1 CNA per shift, with ratios dependent on census.
  • Travelers must be flexible and help cover staffing gaps.
  • Weekend rotations are every third weekend; holidays required to work 2 out of 3.
  • On-site orientation includes 4 hours of computer-based training and 8 hours of floor training.
  • Clinicians previously employed at this facility must have their end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
  • Clinicians are responsible for reading and interpreting their own telemetry strips; remote telemetry monitoring is available.
  • The facility uses the Cerner charting system.
