Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart Specialist in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves providing safe and effective patient care within the operating room setting, following established standards and protocols. The position requires close collaboration with the surgical team and supporting the surgical procedures related to cardiac surgeries.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12 weeks / 40 hours per week; 8-hour shifts during the day shift hours of 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, including two weekday calls and every third to fourth weekend call.
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist educational program or an approved Surgical Technology training program through the U.S. Military Training Program (U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard). Certification as a NBSTSA-Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is required. Must have CVOR experience and be NBSTSA-certified.

• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The candidate should possess knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to provide patient care, safety precautions, and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling, with exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue. Availability to work under stressful conditions, deadlines, and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
