Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse position is located in Billings, Montana. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The PACU nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient recovery care, ensuring health status is continually monitored and documented, and providing health teaching and counseling as needed. The position requires flexibility to float to other departments within scope of competency and may involve being placed on-call during scheduled shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: - Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice. - ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) degree from an accredited School of Nursing. - BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association. - 0 years of experience required. - Skills include nursing care, health assessment, health teaching, health counseling, therapy and treatment planning. - Additional skills such as delegation, supervision, patient referral, documentation, and consultation are preferred. - May be required to float within scope of competency and qualifications; may be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
• Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree of Nursing. - Additional certifications as appropriate for unit or service.
