Job Summary:
The healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in wound care in Simi Valley, California. This role involves providing specialized wound, ostomy, and continence care to medically complex patients in an acute care setting. The nurse will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, serve as a resource for wound management, and perform patient rounds as needed to ensure optimal care and outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; relevant clinical nursing experience preferred; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required; Wound care certification preferred with a plan to achieve in a determined time period.
• Essential Functions: Collects and analyzes patient health data; develops and implements care plans; collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members; provides education to patients and staff; maintains accurate documentation; manages supplies and equipment; performs wound care assessments and interventions; evaluates patient progress; performs other duties as assigned.
• Additional Information: The role requires providing consultative wound care, evaluating pressure injuries, and managing complex wounds across various units as needed.
