Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room located in Gainesville, Florida. This position involves providing surgical nursing care within the operating room environment. The assignment is designed for experienced OR RNs seeking a 16-week opportunity with a leading healthcare provider, offering a busy surgical schedule and the chance to work in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facility.

Job Details:

Schedule: 12-hour Day Shift, 07:00 AM 07:30 PM, 36 hours per week, variable days. Holidays and weekends required. Block scheduling on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Required Qualifications: 3 years of OR RN experience; recent experience within the last 12 months at an academic medical institution or a Level 1/Level 2 trauma facility in a major metropolitan area; prior travel experience; no candidates with a 180+ day non-clinical employment break; no unexplained work history gaps over 30 days. Candidate must hold a Florida RN license or compact license.
Preferred Qualifications: Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience; strong circulating experience in orthopedics, transplant, general surgery, robotics, trauma, urology, PBS; scrub experience preferred but not required; emphasis on ortho and general surgery.
Certifications & Licensure: BLS required; ACLS preferred; recent EPIC experience required.
Additional Information: Candidate must pass specialty exam (minimum 80%) and EKG exam (minimum 80% and 100% identification of lethal rhythms). Review rhythms prior to start. Florida AHCA processing may take up to 14 business days.
